This family business has been producing traditional syrups, jams, and zacusca (roasted vegetable spread) since 2003, based on grandmother’s recipes. The ingredients are sourced from the clean mountain forests around Gheorgheni/Gyergyó, including pine buds, pine cones, raspberries, red and black blueberries, while blackcurrants and sour cherries are grown locally. During the program, visitors can gain insight into the process of syrup and jam making, learn about the beneficial effects of the fruits, and observe the kitchen production process live. The Halasági-Csibi medicinal herb family manufactory in Jolotca/Orotva in the scenic surroundings of the Gheorgheni Mountains, welcomes visitors interested in exploring Transylvania’s herbal traditions and the world of traditional folk herbal knowledge. The story of the manufactory dates back to the 1970s, when Imre Csibi and Anna néni began working with medicinal plants. The knowledge they passed on is still carried forward by the family today, combining folk traditions with modern professional expertise. During the program, visitors can learn about the collection, cultivation, and processing of medicinal plants, gain insight into the daily life of the herbal garden and processing workshop, and discover the use of plant species typical of the Harghita region. Disc golf is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. The sport is usually played on a course with 9 or 18 holes (baskets). Players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee pad or area toward a target, known as a basket, throwing again from where the previous throw landed, until the basket is reached. The baskets are formed by wire with hanging chains above the basket, designed to catch the incoming discs, which then fall into the basket. Usually, the number of throws a player uses to reach each basket is tallied (often in relation to par), and players seek to complete each hole in the lowest number of total throws. Par is the number of strokes an expert player is expected to make for a given hole or a group of holes (usually 9 or 18). The game is played in about 40 countries and, as of 2023, there are 107,853 active members of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) worldwide.

Our organic farm, located in Lupeni, has been operating for more than a decade with a focus on nature-friendly farming and self-sufficiency. For over 12 years, we have been growing and processing plums, while our chemical-free garden is naturally fertilized with the help of our sheep. We use our plums in several ways: we make traditional plum jam, pálinka, as well as a variety of dried fruits. A few years ago, we built our own garden fruit dryer, where, depending on the harvest, we prepare delicious homemade specialties. Sheep farming also plays an important role in the life of our farm. We have been raising sheep for 13 years, and as the flock grew, we built our own traditional sheepfold three years ago. We process the sheep’s milk on the farm, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the sheepfold as well. In addition to sheep, our farm is also home to donkeys, rabbits, chickens and ducks, along with two sheepdogs and a cat. Our garden is rich in biodiversity and attracts numerous pollinators and bird species. At our farm, we strive to produce as much as possible ourselves and to live as self-sufficiently as we can. The sheepfold and the farm are open to visitors who wish to experience firsthand the world of traditional animal husbandry, fruit processing and nature-friendly farming. In Domokos Árpád’s small-scale family farm, visitors can gain insight into the world of traditional meat processing and the everyday life of a family-based farm built on natural ingredients. During the program, they can learn about the production process of butchery products made from home-raised animals, traditional smoking methods, and the steps of additive-free processing. The farm welcomes guests in a specially designed reception and tasting area, where they can sample traditionally flavored sausages, bacon, and hams, as well as purchase locally produced products. The Kükiland Manufactory adventure farm in Poiana Târnavei/Küküllőmező welcomes visitors with family-friendly, nature-based programs for those who wish to gain insight into the everyday life of traditional rural homesteads. Guests can learn the basics of sustainable farming and meet farm animals up close while discovering the values of rural life. During the program, visitors can tour the farm with the farmer, who presents the animals, farm equipment, and the vegetable garden. We are very pleased to have been able to create a place in Harghita County that provides meaningful leisure for all ages. Children and adults can get close to the animals living in the park, and they can touch and pet them. The "summer bobsleigh track" in Borsec/Borszék was handed over on October 23rd, 2019.  The slope is 1.5 kilometres long, and the ski lift takes the sleighs to the highest point of the track, to a height of 572 metres, where they can be rode down the 860-metre track. Among the adventure attractions of Harghita County, the Bob Lacu Roșu alpine coaster offers an exciting experience for visitors of all ages.
