Horse-cart riding and sleigh trips.

Leave the modern world behind as you board a traditional horse-drawn sleigh for a journey through untouched winter landscapes. This experience is designed for those who appreciate the raw, authentic beauty of nature and the simple joy of a meal shared over an open flame. • The Journey: Guided by powerful draft horses, you’ll glide through snow-dusted forests where the only sounds are the horses' breath and the soft crunch of the sleigh runners. The tour last for 3-4 hours. • The Fire-Roasted Feast: Your destination is a secluded clearing where a roaring bonfire awaits. This is a true gastronomic retreat. You’ll grill savory local sausages and thick, smoky bacon directly over the fire, watching as they sizzle to perfection. • The Artisan Pairings: Complement your rustic meal with freshly baked artisan bread, thick slices of crisp onion, and traditional condiments that bring out the deep, smoky flavors of the meat. • The Atmosphere: Between bites, wrap your hands around a mug of hot spiced wine or forest tea. The combination of the cold mountain air, the intense heat of the fire, and the hearty, traditional fare creates a sensory memory that stays with you long after the snow melts. This isn’t just a lunch; it’s an invitation to reconnect with the old ways of the mountain. Rules • The tour starts with a minimum of 6 adult participants • If the snow conditions are poor, the tour is made with horse pulled wagons.  • If till the date the minimum number of participants is not met, we can reschedule or pay back 100%.  Prices • price per adult: 32 EUR • price per children: 15 EUR. Bookings has to be made with direct card payment here: magenta7transylvania.com
Glide through the fairytale winter landscape of the Gyimes hills in a horse-drawn sleigh and enjoy a wide view of the gorgeous scenery around! Our path for the sleigh ride goes through the forests and hills of the Gyimes Valley and none of those places visited during the tour are accessible by car, so it’s just you, horses and snow. There are some slower bits where you can enjoy the views and also some faster ones, where horses gallop and you need to hold tight to not to fall off the sledges on the turns. It’s so much fun! Our horses are local breds, used to mountain terrain, very friendly and patient, and look very cute. We also organize rides in the night which makes the experience really special. The tours depart daily at 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00 (the evening tour) from the front of the church of Bükkhavaspataka (Poiana Fagului in Romanian) located in the village of Lunca de Jos, 50 km drive from Miercurea Ciuc.  In order to assure optimal circumstances for organizing this tour, please send your request to book or contact us at least one day prior the chosen date. 📷 Fodor István
For those eager to be part of an idyllic winter experience, we offer a sleighride on the Lovers’ Lane and around the Fairy Garden. Listening to the glide in the snow and the sleighbells, snuggled under warm blankets, a sleigh ride is certainly one of the main attractions of the cold season. Duration: 1 hour Capacity: 6 people Price: 100 lei / ride

Sólyom Major, a tourist center (Ecovillage), aims to create a place for visitors that brings tranquility and takes us out of the everyday rat race. We wanted to establish a true tourist oasis, an Ecovillage, in the heart of Transylvania, where not only our family but also anyone who shares similar values can come. Our guesthouse has 11 rooms and is suitable for team-building events, corporate gatherings, conferences, presentations, courses, and family programs. In 2019, we opened the first gastronomic point in Harghita County, which we envisioned based on the "Farm to Table" concept. Tradition is reflected in our flavors as well. Activities we offer include horse riding lessons, which both beginners and experienced riders can enjoy according to their skill level, either outdoors or in a covered stable. We also provide summer carriage rides and winter horse-drawn sleigh rides, during which you can get a glimpse of the natural beauty and traditions of Kissolymos and the surrounding villages. Additionally, we can organize bread baking, campfires, folk dance nights, and other interesting programs upon request. If you would like to visit us, please call us at +40773 363 964!

4–5-Hour Horse-Drawn Carriage Tour and Traditional Feast in Valea lui Pavel Tradition – Flavours – Experiences Discover the authentic beauty of Transylvania in Valea lui Pavel, also known as Pálpataka, a mountain village near Corund, situated at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres! Valea lui Pavel is a distinctive rural settlement of scattered farmsteads, where local families still make their living mainly from livestock farming, agriculture and traditional small-scale farming. During the tour, we travel through pine forests, hay meadows and pastures, passing mountain streams and traditional homesteads. Along the way, guests may see horses, cattle, sheep and other grazing animals while enjoying the fresh mountain air and the peaceful natural surroundings. Our family-run business has nearly 30 years of experience in equestrian tourism. Our tours are organised with gentle, calm and well-trained horses bred and raised by us, together with comfortable and safe horse-drawn carriages. Upon arrival, our guests are welcomed with a traditional drink. The pálinka is served in a special small cup decorated with traditional Corund motifs and fitted with a cord so it can be worn around the neck. At the end of the tour, every guest may take the cup home as a gift. One of the most popular parts of the experience is the traditional open-air gastronomic picnic. Lunch is freshly prepared on site and includes grilled pork neck, mici—traditional Romanian grilled meat rolls—homemade bacon, onions and homemade sourdough potato bread. While lunch is being prepared, depending on the season and weather conditions, guests may have the opportunity to pick wild blueberries or raspberries or enjoy seasonal mushroom foraging. The programme also includes a short tasting of homemade cheese. Live music can also be arranged upon request, adding an even more cheerful and memorable atmosphere to the meal and the entire excursion. After lunch and some time to relax in nature, we return to our horse farm in Valea lui Pavel by a different route. This allows guests to enjoy new landscapes, traditional homesteads and beautiful panoramic views on the way back. The programme is suitable for guests of all ages. It is an ideal choice for families, couples, groups of friends, organised tour groups, corporate team-building events, school trips, family gatherings and private celebrations. The complete programme usually lasts between four and five hours. With prior arrangement, both the route and duration can be adapted, allowing us to organise a shorter or a longer tour according to the group’s needs. Participation fee - Adults: 250 lei per person - Discounted rates are available for children. - Children under four years of age may participate free of charge.
