4–5-Hour Horse-Drawn Carriage Tour and Traditional Feast in Valea lui Pavel Tradition – Flavours – Experiences Discover the authentic beauty of Transylvania in Valea lui Pavel, also known as Pálpataka, a mountain village near Corund, situated at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres! Valea lui Pavel is a distinctive rural settlement of scattered farmsteads, where local families still make their living mainly from livestock farming, agriculture and traditional small-scale farming. During the tour, we travel through pine forests, hay meadows and pastures, passing mountain streams and traditional homesteads. Along the way, guests may see horses, cattle, sheep and other grazing animals while enjoying the fresh mountain air and the peaceful natural surroundings. Our family-run business has nearly 30 years of experience in equestrian tourism. Our tours are organised with gentle, calm and well-trained horses bred and raised by us, together with comfortable and safe horse-drawn carriages. Upon arrival, our guests are welcomed with a traditional drink. The pálinka is served in a special small cup decorated with traditional Corund motifs and fitted with a cord so it can be worn around the neck. At the end of the tour, every guest may take the cup home as a gift. One of the most popular parts of the experience is the traditional open-air gastronomic picnic. Lunch is freshly prepared on site and includes grilled pork neck, mici—traditional Romanian grilled meat rolls—homemade bacon, onions and homemade sourdough potato bread. While lunch is being prepared, depending on the season and weather conditions, guests may have the opportunity to pick wild blueberries or raspberries or enjoy seasonal mushroom foraging. The programme also includes a short tasting of homemade cheese. Live music can also be arranged upon request, adding an even more cheerful and memorable atmosphere to the meal and the entire excursion. After lunch and some time to relax in nature, we return to our horse farm in Valea lui Pavel by a different route. This allows guests to enjoy new landscapes, traditional homesteads and beautiful panoramic views on the way back. The programme is suitable for guests of all ages. It is an ideal choice for families, couples, groups of friends, organised tour groups, corporate team-building events, school trips, family gatherings and private celebrations. The complete programme usually lasts between four and five hours. With prior arrangement, both the route and duration can be adapted, allowing us to organise a shorter or a longer tour according to the group’s needs. Povestea ciobanului cu ochi strălucitori - Vizitare stână turistică A fost odată ca niciodată, că de n-ar fi nu s-ar povesti. Hai cu noi pe culmile munţilor, într-un loc mirific, să ascultăm povestea ciobanului cu ochi strălucitori despre viaţa neştiută a ciobanilor, despre dragostea faţă de munte, de animale şi o viaţă tradiţională, care pare să se aproprie de sfârşit. Pasiunea lui pentru oi, pentru produse naturale şi sănătoase, pentru tradiţii şi obiceiuri dar şi pentru a duce mai departe această îndeletnicire, oieritul, l-a determinat să se adapteze timpurilor.Cine petrece o zi la stână poate afla direct de la ciobani cum e să trăieşti zi de zi în armonie cu natura. Și dacă doreşti să regăseşti liniştea şi pacea interioară, îţi recomandăm să rămâi o noapte la stână, să priveşti stelele căzătoare străbătând cerul înstelat, să stai la poveşti la lumina lemnelor ce trosnesc sub ceaunul cu lapte sau mămăligă şi să dormi într-un cojoc din blană de oaie. Vă invităm la o plimbare cu căruţe trasă de cai în satul medieval din secolul al XIII-lea Lăzăreşti şi prin pădurile sălbatice din Ținutul Vulcanilor, în aproprierea lacului Sfânta Ana. În timpul excursiei vom face o călătorie în timp (apr. 14 km dus-întors) pe urmele mistreţilor şi urşilor.  Ne oprim pe muntele Hegyesteto, unde ne asteaptă o privelişte fermecătoare asupra bazinul Ciucului. Vom degusta ape minerale adevărate, vom vizita un observator de animale sălbatice, după care o să ne bucurăm de un picnic tradiţional în natură, cu degustări de produse locale (pălincă, slănină, caşcavaluri, etc.). Grupurile peste 15 persoane sunt răsfăţate cu gulaşh secuiesc. La întoarcere vom vizita mofeta şi baia tradiţională Nyír, admirând activitatea postvulcanică, care se manifestă şi azi sub forma apelor minerale carbogazoase, nămol şi gaze vindecătoare. Plimbările cu căruţa printre dealurile care înconjoară satele şi pădurile sălbatice din Ținutul Vulcanilor pornesc din Lăzăreşti cu minim 4 participanţi, iar costul este de 100 de lei / persoană.  Preţul include plimbarea cu căruţa, degustarea bucatelor tradiţionale în mijlocul naturii. Mă numesc Baczoni Szilveszter, visătorul ”Baczkalandok”. Locuiesc în Șoimeni-Ciuc, un sat micuț de aproape 500 de locuitori, aici m-am născut și am crescut alături de părinții și bunicii. Plecând la drum cu aceste cunoștințe nu doar ca am reușit să văd cele mai frumoase locuri din zonă, dar am dobândit și dragul de a le arăta mai departe. Scopul meu principal este că vizitatorii noștri să vină ca niște srăini și să plece ca niște prietenii. Una din misiunile mele este de a-i convinge pe vizitatorii să iasă din zona lor de confort, să se elibereze din rutina cotidiană și să se conecteze cu natura. Pentru că experiența să fie magică și amintirea să se dovedească de neuitat le punem la dispoziție vizitatorilor noștri o aventură frumoasă cu caii.

Your arrival will be greeted on Friday evening at the Honor Villa accommodation with a gourmet dinner with specific wild hunt meat. On Saturday morning, after breakfast, we will start the tour at the riding ranch with our Icelandic horses. The tour will have 5-6 hours with one break in the middle of the nature. During this break you can enjoy a small snack provided by us. After the horseback riding tour, you could visit the bear observatories and in the evening you can enjoy a delicious dinner with local specialties.
