Gastro-Region – Traditional Pomology and Herbal Culture

With the support of the Hungarian National Cultural Fund (NKA) and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, we are organizing a professional educational and heritage-preservation day on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Town Hall of Odorheiu Secuiesc, titled Gastro-Region – Traditional Pomology and Herbal Culture.

Our aim is to assess the active community involved in our fruit-growing and herbal initiatives, as well as to explore the marketing and development opportunities for our small producers. Harghita – European Gastronomic Region 2027 is an opportunity for us as well. Our event serves as preparation, helping us work together—together with producers—to make our region more valuable and therefore more attractive. The traditional knowledge that still exists as a community value supports the preservation of our cultural heritage. Through conscious action and cooperation, we can open new and promising doors.

We warmly welcome producers, fruit growers, herbal practitioners, hospitality professionals, and culinary artists from the rural areas of our county to take advantage of this development opportunity!

The event will take place in Hungarian and Romanian.
