"Csűrdöngölő" Children and Youth Folk Dance Assembly

The "Csűrdöngölő" Children and Youth Folk Dance Assembly is a meeting of children and youth folk dance groups from the area of Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda. It has been organized annually by the András Foundation since 2001. The event is hosted by the Harghita National Szekler Folk Ensemble.
The event has grown into a movement, and every year nearly 46 children and youth folk dance groups, about 1300 children and young people, prepare for the event. It is a good opportunity to showcase their milestones of development; to meet similar groups; to acknowledge the fact that folk dance is the driving force behind countless communities.
