The Szentes Bakery in Ineu/Csíkjenőfalva is known for its sourdough breads and fresh baked goods made from local ingredients, using traditional methods and a wood-fired oven. Visitors can gain insight into the bakery’s daily operations and closely follow the bread-making process from start to finish. During the program, guests can learn about the traditional steps of kneading the dough, placing the bread into the oven, and removing the freshly baked loaves. Enthusiastic participants may even try shaping the bread themselves. The visit offers a special experience for everyone who would like to get closer to the craft of traditional bread baking and discover how much work and care lie behind everyday bread. The Kükiland Manufactory adventure farm in Poiana Târnavei/Küküllőmező welcomes visitors with family-friendly, nature-based programs for those who wish to gain insight into the everyday life of traditional rural homesteads. Guests can learn the basics of sustainable farming and meet farm animals up close while discovering the values of rural life. During the program, visitors can tour the farm with the farmer, who presents the animals, farm equipment, and the vegetable garden. Guests are welcomed with homemade drinks upon arrival, and at the end of the visit they can enjoy sandwiches made from homemade bread and local ingredients. The farm offers a special experience for families: children can enjoy face painting, a trampoline, pony rides, and horse-drawn carriage rides under parental supervision. The visit offers a unique opportunity for guests to discover the world of traditional products made from wild fruits and medicinal herbs, as well as to gain insight into the processing of natural ingredients. During the visit, participants can taste locally made products – including jams, syrups, and herbal teas – and there is also an opportunity to purchase them on site. The program provides an experiential insight into traditional processing methods: if jam or zakuska is being prepared in an outdoor cauldron at the time of the visit, guests can observe the process and may even actively take part in its preparation. Upon request, the program can be complemented with offerings from local producers in the area. This may include a visit to a mountain shepherd’s shelter (esztena), tasting and preparation of túróspuliszka (curd cheese polenta), animal petting, horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as a visit to a nearby natural attraction, the peat bog. The Tófalvi Adventure Farm in Fântâna Brazilor/Fenyőkút offers family-friendly, experience-based programs for children and families interested in nature and animals. The farm aims to bring visitors closer to the beauty of rural life and the everyday traditions of Székely farming. On the experience farm, guests can meet more than a dozen domestic animals, which they can not only observe but also pet and feed, while learning about them through playful, interactive activities. The program offers an especially engaging, hands-on learning experience for preschool and primary school children about animal care, rural traditions, and respect for nature. The farm provides a safe and friendly environment for families, where relaxation, shared experiences, and nature-based recreation come together. Accommodation is also available on site. The Sólyom Major Farm offers a wide range of programs for those who wish to get closer to rural life and nature. Visitors can gain insight into the everyday life of traditional farming while getting in close contact with farm animals such as horses, grey cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry. As part of the program, guests can enjoy horseback riding, horse-drawn carriage rides, guided hiking tours, and discover the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Visitors may also explore the Șoimușu Mic/Kissolymos Museum House, which presents traditional tools and customs of old rural life. Relaxation is completed with outdoor hot tub bathing, camping opportunities, and caravan accommodation. Since 2019, Sólyom Major has also operated as a gastronomic point, offering guests traditional Szekler dishes. The Berke meat processing facility in Izvoare/Ivó, located at the foot of the Harghita Mădăraș, offers a unique insight into the world of modern meat processing and premium-quality food production. Visitors can learn about the processing of game, lamb, mangalica, and pork, and follow the different stages of production and packaging. During the program, the operation of the facility is presented, where advanced technology, a natural mountain environment, clean air and water, and environmentally friendly solutions all contribute to the production of premium-quality products. The visit provides a special experience for those who wish to gain insight into a meat processing world based on traditional raw materials but operating with innovative technology. Our slaughterhouse is unique in the region, providing full Islamic ritual slaughter (HALAL) for sheep, goats, and cattle. VISITS ARE AVAILABLE BY PRIOR APPOINTMENT ONLY.

The Mangalica Gastronomic Point – Ocna de Sus/Felsősófalva offers a unique culinary experience for those who wish to discover the world of traditional Mangalica pig farming and meat processing. Visitors can taste traditional products made entirely from their own Mangalica stock, while also gaining insight into the processing methods. As part of the program, guests can visit the meat processing facility where sausages, salamis, and bacon are prepared using traditional methods such as boiling, smoking, and aging. The visit may also include a tour of the Mangalica farm, where free-range animals are presented. The farm can be reached by minibus or on foot. The gastronomic point welcomes guests with Mangalica product tastings and, upon special request, traditional roasted suckling pig. VISITS ARE AVAILABLE BY PRIOR APPOINTMENT ONLY: at least 24 hours in advance for cold tastings, and at least 72 hours in advance with a deposit for roasted suckling pig orders.

In Domokos Árpád’s small-scale family farm, visitors can gain insight into the world of traditional meat processing and the everyday life of a family-based farm built on natural ingredients. During the program, they can learn about the production process of butchery products made from home-raised animals, traditional smoking methods, and the steps of additive-free processing. The farm welcomes guests in a specially designed reception and tasting area, where they can sample traditionally flavored sausages, bacon, and hams, as well as purchase locally produced products. The Halasági-Csibi medicinal herb family manufactory in Jolotca/Orotva in the scenic surroundings of the Gheorgheni Mountains, welcomes visitors interested in exploring Transylvania’s herbal traditions and the world of traditional folk herbal knowledge. The story of the manufactory dates back to the 1970s, when Imre Csibi and Anna néni began working with medicinal plants. The knowledge they passed on is still carried forward by the family today, combining folk traditions with modern professional expertise. During the program, visitors can learn about the collection, cultivation, and processing of medicinal plants, gain insight into the daily life of the herbal garden and processing workshop, and discover the use of plant species typical of the Harghita region.
