Signature Dish is a collection of the characteristic flavours of Harghita County, a result of the professional and community collaboration connected to the European Region of Gastronomy 2027 title.

After Harghita County received this prestigious recognition, we launched a survey asking the public which dishes and desserts they consider the most representative for the county. The results were evaluated together with twelve local chefs, and based on this process, we compiled the selection in the Signature Dish list.

The dishes and desserts featured on the list represent living traditions: flavours passed down from generation to generation, reflecting the county’s cultural diversity and rich gastronomic heritage.

The Signature Dish list is built on local ingredients, sustainable approach and authentic preparation methods. Its purpose is to present the cuisine of Harghita County in a coherent way and to serve as a reference point both for hospitality professionals and visitors.
