Boldizsár/Madonna/Horia spring (Spring 3) Borsec

The flow rate is 900 l / day. The spring water is carbonated, bicarbonate, mixed and contains: calcium, magnesium, lithium, sodium. Therapeutic indications: hyperacid gastritis; hypocalcaemia, parathyroid insufficiency. It is close to the entrance to Fairies Meadow, near the Kossuth Spring. It was captured in 1884. It seems to have been named after Dr. Cseh Károly.

The flow of the spring is decreasing. Therapeutic indications: Hypoacid gastritis, ulcerative disease, hypocalcemia. It was discovered in 1868 by the Royal Deputy Judge Puskás Ferencz of Gheorgheni, together with a young man from the gendarmerie. In 1873 it was inaugurated, the spring being appropriately arranged so it can be used also in the rainy season for treatment. A terrace was also built for events. It was first analyzed by the chemistry professor Dr. Than Károly in 1873, and later in 1889 by Dr. Hankó Vilmos. It has the highest ferrous content of all the sources in Borsec. It is located on 7 Springs Boulevard. It is in the vicinity of the László spring and has a low flow. The first water analysis was made in 1862 by pharmacist Flobert Ferencz of Mediaş. Therapeutic indications: hypoacid gastritis, chronic colitis, chronic uric and oxal lithosis, obesity, arthritis (hypertensive disease). Brief history of the spring: It was used since 1840, but it the stone bed was not captured until 1867. The name was received in honor of Lázár László lord from Lăzarea, who had a decisive role in the development of Borsec. The water of this spring was used by both guests and locals for drinking. Main Spring no. 1 is one of the oldest springs. It is captured for industrial use, being the source with the highest flow rate; is located at the end of the 7th Alley Springs. Ötvös Ágoston calls it Borsec Spring. It was captured in 1770. The first chemical analysis was conducted under the aegis of the Vienna Medical College in 1803. The water of the main spring has been regarded as one of the best water, being undoubtedly the Queen of Mineral Water. In 1962 it was recaptured following the plans of Bucharest engineer Mihail Vernescu. This was supervised by the geologist Artemiu Pricăjan from Bucharest and Simion Bonţideanu from Târgu Mureş. The memory of this recapture is plated in marble above the entrance. The annual flow of the spring is 8 million liters. The water temperature is 7.5 - 8.9 ° C. It has the highest carbonic saturation. At just 60 meters was the first small-capacity bottling hall with its own power plant.
