Our slaughterhouse is unique in the region, providing full Islamic ritual slaughter (HALAL) for sheep, goats, and cattle.

The Kükiland Manufactory adventure farm in Poiana Târnavei/Küküllőmező welcomes visitors with family-friendly, nature-based programs for those who wish to gain insight into the everyday life of traditional rural homesteads. Guests can learn the basics of sustainable farming and meet farm animals up close while discovering the values of rural life. During the program, visitors can tour the farm with the farmer, who presents the animals, farm equipment, and the vegetable garden. Guests are welcomed with homemade drinks upon arrival, and at the end of the visit they can enjoy sandwiches made from homemade bread and local ingredients. The farm offers a special experience for families: children can enjoy face painting, a trampoline, pony rides, and horse-drawn carriage rides under parental supervision. The visit offers a unique opportunity for guests to discover the world of traditional products made from wild fruits and medicinal herbs, as well as to gain insight into the processing of natural ingredients. During the visit, participants can taste locally made products – including jams, syrups, and herbal teas – and there is also an opportunity to purchase them on site. The program provides an experiential insight into traditional processing methods: if jam or zakuska is being prepared in an outdoor cauldron at the time of the visit, guests can observe the process and may even actively take part in its preparation. Upon request, the program can be complemented with offerings from local producers in the area. This may include a visit to a mountain shepherd’s shelter (esztena), tasting and preparation of túróspuliszka (curd cheese polenta), animal petting, horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as a visit to a nearby natural attraction, the peat bog. Visitors can taste traditional products made entirely from their own Mangalica stock, while also gaining insight into the processing methods. As part of the program, guests can visit the meat processing facility where sausages, salamis, and bacon are prepared using traditional methods such as boiling, smoking, and aging. The visit may also include a tour of the Mangalica farm, where free-range animals are presented. The farm can be reached by minibus or on foot. The gastronomic point welcomes guests with Mangalica product tastings and, upon special request, traditional roasted suckling pig. The story of the manufactory dates back to the 1970s, when Imre Csibi and Anna néni began working with medicinal plants. The knowledge they passed on is still carried forward by the family today, combining folk traditions with modern professional expertise. During the program, visitors can learn about the collection, cultivation, and processing of medicinal plants, gain insight into the daily life of the herbal garden and processing workshop, and discover the use of plant species typical of the Harghita region.
