About
"Woman is a relative being; she is not defined in relation to herself, but in relation to man. A woman is what a man’s judgment makes her." – this idea was recorded in 1949, but clearly dates back to ancient times, and even today the saying “tie the dog to this stake” is still used. That’s why, if the judgment says that women have no sense of humor, then we don’t. End of story.
Our intellectual abilities are supposedly kept below men’s by our hair color (and the so-called “Les rule” we supposedly can’t grasp), we routinely complain about childbirth compared to a mere prostate exam, we call housework “work,” we sulk for years over extra pounds, we are considered unfit to drive, and prone to overreact to minor injustices—like earning less or being slightly pushed around on the subway.
If we had humor… perhaps all of this could be bearable. But we don’t… And that’s what we’re going to cry about together… and I hear it’s allowed.
