"Böjti Csemege" – The Carpathian Basin Artisan Cheese Market

On March 21–22, the Böjti Csemege – Carpathian Basin Cheese Fair will take place in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda) at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania. The event is organized by Székely Gazdaszervezetek Egyesülete, with professional judging by Magyar Sajtkészítők Egyesülete.

Artisan and small-scale cheesemakers from across the Carpathian Basin are invited to enter their products for evaluation by a professional jury. Registration is open online between March 1–15, and samples must be submitted in person on March 21 (7:30–9:00 AM). Entry fee: 50 RON/sample.

Cheeses and dairy products will be evaluated on a 100-point system, with bronze, silver, and gold awards. The results will be announced on March 22 at 4 PM.

Beyond the competition, visitors can taste and purchase artisan cheeses, honey, teas, jams, and other delicacies.
