Munții din Ghimeș oferă multe oportunități pentru pasionații de ciclism, iar cu noile biciclete electronice diferențele de nivel pot fi învinse cu ușurință. Dintre multitudinea de trasee alegem întotdeauna personalizat, cele care se potrivesc participanților, în funcție de preferințe, condiție, setea de adrenalină. Pe parcurs, învățăm despre biodiversitatea fânețelor din Ghimeș și tradițiile vii din zonă. Prin solicitare prealabilă, la prânz putem face picnic sau să degustăm mămăliguță cu brânză la o familie locală. La începutul turei noastre, după o scurtă plimbare ajungem la o colibă, adăpostul de vară tipic pentru Ghimeș, unde gazda ne prezintă prepararea de brânzeturi tradiționale, după care putem să și degustăm produsele obținute. La cetatea Rakoczi aflăm despre istoria hotarului milenar, vizităm cea mai veche capelă din zonă și casa vamală. Pe celălalt mal al Trotușului, ne aducem aminte de romanul ”Pădurea Spânzuraților” de Liviu Rebreanu, și de Emil Rebreanu. La Lunca de Jos, la satul de vacanță (Skanzen) cu case tradiționale învățăm despre peisagistică, moara de apă din muzeu și arta populară. La cerere, poți vizita o familie din Ghimeș și să descoperi stilul lor de viață tradițional și zilele lor obișnuite cu muncă. Poți participa la coacerea pâinii, afli despre tainele confecționării instrumentului gardon și poți cutreiera străduțele înguste ale satului pe căruţă trasă de cai. Ai șansa să guști specialitățile locale, precum pâinea de casă proaspăt coaptă, unt sau untură de casă, slănină, brânză, cașcaval, legume. The highest peak near the Borsec/Borszék Basin (1310 m) offers a wonderful opportunity for active relaxation in the middle of nature, with beautiful landscape and fresh air. Hikers will especially appreciate this route, as Borsec/Borszék is home to many natural attractions. Spiced with the legends of the fairies and the founding sayings of our small town, we start the walk at the entrance of the Round Seat Nature Reserve, from where we touch the "lábferedő" (little traditional pools for foot soaking), the Bear's Cave, the Ice Cave and the Mofetta. The Bistriței/Besztercei, Giurgeului/Gyergyói, Hășmașului/Hagymás and Călimani/Kelemen Mountains offer a large number of tourist routs for trekking enthusiast, with locations like Falcon Rocks and Comarnic in Corbu/Gyergyóholló, Vit-havas (1609 m) and Highes (1502 m) in Tulghes/Gyergyótölgyes, or shorter routes arround Creanga Pass. Tourists will have the chance to discover a less known mountain area. The routes have lengths between 6 and 12 km, programs can be adapted to individual needs. Route: Ghimes/Gyimes Pass (Fügés Peak) – Coșnea/Kostelek   Program description: We hike to Coșnea/Kostelek in wonderful landscapes. Departure from the Fügés Peak and arrival in Coșnea/Kostelek, where we will be guests of Vaszi Levente (Hungarian talent show, audience prize). Here we get a taste of their lives, traditions and dances, and we also get something to bite in the end. This program is more recommended for groups. Conquer the 1350 m high Pagan Mountain and enjoy one of the best panoramas nearby Miercurea Ciuc. This tour is designed as a great outing with family or friends to one of the best vista points of the Ciuc Basin, to the top of the 1350 m high Pogany-havas or Pagan Mountain known only by the locals. First enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup and transfer from your accommodation with our comfortable minivan or meet us at the starting point of the tour, in the center of of Frumoasa village (Csíkszépvíz in Hungarian). Once arrived in Frumoasa, your guide will give a safety briefing, then follows the ebikes unloading from our roulotte, sizing and fitting of the bikes for each rider, briefing on how the bikes function and how to safely operate them. When everyone is fitted with his or her equipment and happy with the setup of the bikes, the adventure begins. You leave behind the streets of Frumoasa, conquer a steep forrest road with the help of your ebike's electrical assistance, then have a break at a lookout tower of Frumoasa and its surroundings. Here your guide can introduce you to Frumoasa's multicultural background and rich history, then continue to the next resting point on the tour, to Saint Ladislaus spring where you can quench your thirst or refill your bottle. Here you can learn about the legends and love of the locals linked to king Saint Ladislaus. Continue your uphill ride to the top of the Pagan Mountain and enjoy one of the best panoramas in the surroundings of Miercurea Ciuc to the Ciuc Basin, the Harghita Mountains, Hasmas Mountains and to the Ciomad Mountains. This place is special not just because of the great views and the cult of Saint Ladislaus linked to it, but due to its richness in wildflower and bird species. The locals work this territory as a mountain pasture in the traditional way which preserved one of the richest ecosystem in the region. Finally an exciting downhill ride follows from the top of the mountain to Saint Ladislaus chapel where you can share stories about your ride with teh others and have some snacks. The last stop on the tour before returning to our minivan is Cibre bath where you can soak in your feet and relax a bit. Guaranteed departures: the tour departs every Sunday from Frumoasa at 10 o'clock, pick-up from Miercurea Ciuc and its surrounding villages is included in the price of the tour.
