Wind Orchestra | Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO), New York

The Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO) Wind Orchestra is part of a non profit music education institution located in the Capital Region of New York , USA, near Albany. There are 17 ensembles and an elementary instrumental program within the curriculum.

The Wind Orchestra is a select group of brass, woodwind and percussion students from generally ages 12 to 17. They rehearse one day a week and perform 4-5 concerts per season. Their repertoire includes marches, transcriptions, original wind band compositions, seasonal/popular music, chamber music as well as premiers and commissions.

They have performed in such noted venues as The Massry Center for the Arts, Proctors Theater, Troy Music Hall, Saratoga Performing Arts Center and performed at the 2018 WASBE Festival in Mako, Hungary.
