Shapovalov and CCO

A special concert will take place on Monday evening, the 30th, on the stage of the Cinema Ciuc! Under the professional direction of world-famous Russian cellist Denis Shapovalov, who is performing in our city for the fourth time, will perform works by Russian composers, mainly from the 19th century. The orchestra selects works by four of the greats of Russian romantic music, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Alexander Glazunov, Anton Arensky and Sergei Rachmaninov.

On Program:

1. Glazunov: Theme and Variations for String Orchestra, op. 97

2. Tchaikovsky: Rokoko Variations

3. Arensky: Variations on a theme by Tchaikovsky

4. Tchaikovsky: Andante for cello

5. Rachmaninov: Two Romances

6. Tchaikovsky: Napoli Song

The concert is supported by the Mayor's Office of the City of Miercurea Ciuc and by the Csik Chamber Orchestra Association. Tickets available in the ticket office of the Cinema Ciuc for 20 lei for adults and 15 lei for students and pensioners.
