Ryszard Kaja: Plakat-Polska vernissage

On 24th of September, at 6 p.m., the biennial’s programme will begin in Miercurea Ciuc, at the Csíki Cinema Gallery, with the opening of Plakat-Polska, an exhibition by Ryszard Kaja.

Ryszard Kaja (1962–2019), a Polish painter, set and production designer, graphic artist and poster artist, was one of the outstanding figures of Polish poster art. He created more than 500 posters, gaining international recognition in a relatively short period of time. His POLSKA poster series, created during the final decade of his life, received widespread acclaim and became an iconic body of work within Polish poster art.

The exhibition offers an insight into Poland’s cultural and artistic world through Kaja’s distinctive visual language.
