Commemoration of the 1848–49 Hungarian Revolution

We are preparing a special two-day program to mark the anniversary of the 1848–49 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence.

March 14
  • 16:00 – Exhibition of artists from Cegléd – Csíki Székely Museum
  • 17:00 – Wreath-laying at the Sándor Gál statue and the Kossuth memorial plaque
  • 18:00 – Remembrance and Renewal – dance performance with over 90 dancers at the House of Arts

March 15
  • 10:00 – Commemoration at Petőfi Sándor Primary School
  • 12:15 – Ceremony at Vár Square
  • 16:00 – Commemoration at Nyerges-tető
  • 19:00 – Festive concert featuring the Gázsa Band and the Csíki and Georgius Chamber Orchestras
