In 2026, marking the 130th anniversary of the birth of the Venerable Bishop Márton Áron, the Romanian Parliament declared the year a Márton Áron Memorial Year.

To commemorate the occasion and the 10th anniversary of the statue group in Liberty Square, the City Hall of Miercurea Ciuc invites everyone to a public remembrance event on May 16 at 20:00 in Liberty Square, featuring performances by the Hargita National Székely Folk Dance Theatre, Hargita Ensemble Youth Group, and the Gaudete Choir.
