The Transylvanian Dance House Meeting is more than a movement where traditional dance house communities come together. It is more than an opportunity to have fun.

It creates connections, strengthens bonds and brings together professionals and enthusiasts from all fields of folk music and dance. It provides space for the future, renewal and the passing on of traditions to new generations.

Odorheiu Secuiesc/Székelyudvarhely made history in Hungarian cultural heritage preservation in 1978, when the world’s first Dance House Meeting was held in the city.
