Anniversary Concert

The Ciuc Chamber Orchestra is preparing for an anniversary celebration. In 2001, exactly twenty-five years ago, the chamber orchestra gave its first concert. During this time, they have given numerous performances, both as a string chamber orchestra and as a symphony orchestra, and have collaborated with many performers, conductors and soloists.

The concertmaster for their anniversary concert will be Barnabás Kelemen, with whom the orchestra has maintained a professional relationship for many years. The violinist, a recipient of the Ferenc Liszt and Kossuth Prizes, is currently one of the leading figures in Hungary’s classical music scene, giving numerous performances both at home and abroad. He is the founder of the Kelemen Quartet and the artistic director of the Festival Academy Budapest.
