The Borders of Tusnád Commune The three villages that make up Tusnád Commune – Tusnád, Újtusnád, and Verebes – are located in the southern corner of the Lower Ciuc Basin, bordered by the Southern Harghita Mountains, the Csomád Mountains, and the Ciuc Highlands. At the center of its territory flows the Olt River, which drains the basin southward through the Tusnád Gorge and divides the area into two large parts. Harghita County Council is an elected public authority in Harghita County, founded in 1992. It is the authority of the county, it’s a local public administration, responsible for the coordination of the local council’s activities (municipalities, towns and villages), fulfills public services at county level, participates in different international projects and initiates and implements programs on several domains. The County Council is responsible for the public administration activity on the county’s territory based on the principles of local autonomy, decentralisation of public sphere deputy’s, legality and citizen’s consultation regarding local problems of main interest and contributes to the local growth by means of development programs. The County Council is led by the President. His activity is assisted by 2 Vice-presidents. The members of the council are elected.

The Association was founded in October 2011 with 17 founding members. It currently includes 100 businesses. Our main goal is to become the leading professional organization in the Csíki Basin and to increase the region’s competitiveness by strengthening economic relations. Our Activities • Organizing open events: regular professional presentations and meetings • Maintaining relations with partner organizations and local governments • Promoting the members of the Association • Taking a strong opinion-forming role in local and regional economic matters • Supporting start-up and entrepreneurial culture among young people • Human resource development: regular consultations with the education system and the labor office

Csíkpálfalva/Păuleni Ciuc is a picturesque village located on the eastern edge of the Central Ciuc Basin, just 5 km north of Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda and near the famous pilgrimage site of Csíksomlyó. Situated at an altitude of 740 meters, it serves as the administrative center for two nearby villages: Csíkdelne and Csíkcsomortán. The village has a rich tradition of local crafts, especially weaving. The famous Csík region wool rugs—colorful, patterned textiles influenced by Turkish designs—are still made here. Historically, local women also wove garments for the Franciscan monks of Csíksomlyó. Traditional clothing was handmade from hemp, flax, and wool. Men and women wore homespun garments, with specific patterns and materials indicating social rank, especially in men's stockings and outerwear. The area draws many visitors, particularly during the Pentecost pilgrimage to Csíksomlyó, a centuries-old religious tradition honoring the Virgin Mary. Local hosts offer various experiences such as horse-drawn carriage rides, visits to shepherd’s huts, folk dance nights, wildlife watching, and demonstrations of chimney cake baking and traditional rug weaving. Excellent accommodation is also available. The people of Csíkpálfalva, Csomortán, and Delne warmly welcome all guests and visitors.

Csíkszentimre/ Sântimbru-Băi is a picturesque Székely village located in Harghita County, in the eastern part of the Ciuc Basin. The village is known for its rich history, cultural traditions, and warm hospitality. 

The entrepreneurial environment in Sâncrăieni/Csíkszentkirály is strong — local entrepreneurs are innovative and full of potential.  That’s why we founded the Association of Entrepreneurs of Sâncrăieni/Csíkszentkirály: to contribute to the development of our community on business, social, and societal levels. 

Csíkszentsimoni Ifjusági Koncertfúvós Zenekar

The village is situated on the left, really marshy bank of the river Olt. Balázs Orbán refers to the village as “lying in mud”. According to the researches, the name of the settlement derives from a Saint’s name. This idea is corroborated by the first written evidence of the village from 1332: it is mentioned as “Sancto Simon”. Our knowledge of the settlement’s history is scarce. Several field investigations performed in the 20thcentury produced findings dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, including tiled stove fragments. After the census of 1643 the village had between 102–255 inhabitants. Its Roman Catholic church was built in 1823 on a plot donated by Miklós Endes, and was dedicated to King Ladislaus in 1835. According to written evidence from the beginning of the 19th century, it was believed that the new church was built on the site of the old Saint Ladislaus chapel in 1840. Major repairs were made by Vicar János Varga. Its current chapel was built in 1891 by the Kottek family. Another important monument is the Miklós Endes Mansion, today a kindergarten, which was built in the 19th century. The most famous descendant of the family are Miklós Endes, who in 1934 wrote the history of Ciuc (Hu: Csík), Gheorgheni (Hu: Gyergyó) and Caşin (Hu: Kászon) seats until 1918, one of the best documented works about this region, and József Endes, who led a battalion fighting beside general József Bem in the 1848 revolution.

Direcția Generală de Asistență Socială și Protecția Copilului Harghita este instituția publică aflată în subordinea Consiliului Județean Harghita, înființată la data de 01.01.2005 prin comasarea Serviciului Public de Asistență Socială și a Direcției Județene pentru Protecția Drepturilor Copilului Harghita. Instituția a fost înființată în baza Hotărârii Consiliului județean Harghita Nr. 160/2004. Instituția are rolul de a asigura aplicarea politicilor și strategiilor guvernamentale de asistență socială în vederea prevenirii și combaterii marginalizării sociale și a sărăciei. În acest sens, Direcția Generală de Asistență Socială și Protecția Copilului Harghita elaborează strategia proprie de asistență socială, planul de asistență socială și programe de acțiune în domeniu, în funcție de nevoile cetățenilor din unitatea administrativ teritorială.

Printre pregătirile profesionale, de specialitate enumerăm absolvenți de psihologie, stiintele miscării sportului si sanatatii, kinetoterapie, ghizi montani autorizați, experienta in turism si alpinism schi alpin si de tura cu pregatire atestata in acordarea primului ajutor. Ştim că doar prin pregătire continuă putem fi mai buni în ceea ce facem, de aceea încercăm să ne perfecţionăm prin prisma cursurilor la care participăm şi prin atragerea oamenilor de calitate, cu potenţial ridicat ca membri ai asociatiei noastre. The Transylvanian House of Traditions Foundation (EHH) is an organization based in Târgu Mureș (Marosvásárhely), Romania, dedicated to the preservation, transmission, and revitalization of the Hungarian, Romani and Romanian folk culture of Transylvania and the Carpathian Basin. Our foundation is a strategic partner of the Hungarian Heritage House, based in Budapest. While we operate in close collaboration, we also function as an independent entity. Our headquarters is located in Târgu Mureș, with regional offices in Cluj-Napoca, Odorheiu Secuiesc, and Miercurea Ciuc. The board of directors consists of nine members, including prominent figures dedicated to safeguarding Transylvanian heritage and traditions, as well as representatives from the Sapientia Foundation. To achieve our mission, we work alongside 12 strategic partners—other non-governmental organizations that share our commitment to preserving Hungarian cultural heritage. As we implement our vision, the regional offices often initiate independent projects, while all four branches also collaborate to develop joint programs. Transylvania, a multicultural region, is a unique melting pot of Hungarian, Romanian, Romani, Saxon, and other traditions, where folk music, folk dance, and folk crafts remain a living practice to this day. Our mission is to research and document this uniquely rich tangible and intangible heritage, making it accessible to all generations using modern tools.

Az olimpiáról minden hellénnek hírt kellett kapnia, hogy biztosan odaérjenek.” Sok év után ismét táncháztalálkozót hirdetünk Udvarhelyen, a 40 éves erdélyi táncházat ünnepelve és éltetve. Most adunk hírt jó előre, hogy mindenki biztosan oda- és ráérjen: szeptember 22-23, Székelyudvarhely. Mindenkit várunk. Találkozni jó. Öröm rég nem látott kollégát, barátot megölelni, öröm a szabott és beosztott időn kívüli (szabad) időt együtt eltölteni, hogy ismét és ismét átéljük a találkozás örömét, azt, hogy országtól - kortól - lakhelytől függetlenül a táncházban, a hagyományos paraszti kultúra szeretetében, összetartozunk. From the very beginning, we were driven by one goal: to bring inspiring moments to Transylvanian stages — experiences that leave a lasting impression and offer something new to our audiences. Today, Eventikum is present in more than 12 cities and offers performances throughout Romania. In addition, we actively participate in organizing several Transylvanian festivals and special events. Alongside our educational talks, we enrich our platform with podcast conversations, video reports, and interviews, providing our audience with diverse and engaging entertainment. Who are we?  Felvi.ro is the Hungarian-language platform that gathers all higher education institutions in Romania, serving as the primary information source for high school and university students. It offers a national university list, programme search, accommodation options and guidance for student life – everything you need to make studying and university life easier. It supports both future and current students with tools such as a credit calculator and student job listings. The platform is continuously updated, especially before admission periods, to provide accurate and up-to-date information. What do we offer? For high school students: • Universities and study programmes: Search by filters to find institutions and fields that match your interests. You can save favourites and complete a questionnaire to discover which programme suits you best. • Student organisations: Information on Hungarian student associations in major university cities. • Accommodation: Details on university dorms and a list of websites for rental housing. • University glossary & useful tips: Helping you understand key terms and survive your first year. For university students: • Credit calculator: Enter your courses, credit points and grades — the system calculates your average. Data can be saved and edited each semester. • Student jobs: Overview of job platforms, groups and events available across the country. One of the most spectacular and exciting events in the Salt Region comes to life every July, when the roar of engines, quads, and off-road vehicles echoes near Praid/Parajd, at the legendary Rapsónné Fortress. The festival’s unique atmosphere and breathtaking competitions attract hundreds of participants and visitors each year. During the two-day program, visitors can take part in a true off-road adventure, whether they are hobby riders or professional drivers. Competitors test their skills in various categories, while spectators cheer them on through challenging obstacle courses and thrilling battles. Special races are held for children, and families can enjoy a wide range of fun activities and evening concerts.

Fidelitas Youth Association was founded in 2004 and has several years of experience in career guidance and job placement services. We offer these services free of charge to anyone who turns to us. We also organize vocational training courses, which are mostly available for free, to support lifelong learning and professional development. Our goal is to help individuals discover and develop their strengths, support career choices, employment opportunities, or retraining when needed.

 The Youth Forum of Odorheiu Secuiesc is an active youth organization for over 30 years. Currently, more than 1,000 members are registered in the "Our Great Book," and the time spent at UFF has had a significant impact on their lives. 

„Community” is the concept around which our work revolves. We constantly dedicate time and energy to build innovative solutions in the fields of social economy and entrepreneurship and transferring knowledge in the benefit of local communities. The Civitas Foundation for Civil Society is, and will remain, an organisation dedicated to sustainable development programs. Our organisational structure is represented by to regional offices, located in the North-West and Center development regions of Romania, respectively in the cities of Cluj-Napoca and Odorheiu Secuiesc. Therefore, the projects and initiatives belonging to Civitas are mostly, but not exclusively, implemented in Transylvania. Together with our partners we run a significant number of national and international projects. Our programs and projects belong to the field of local and regional development, and our four sub-fields Community development and good governance, Social economy and entrepreneurship, Civil society empowerment and Rural economic development.

The Harghita County Gallery opened on October 2012. The exhibition place of the county government intends to be the home of the arts, including literature, theater, music and fine art. The primary objective of the County Gallery is to increase the social esteem of the Hungarian artists in Transylvania. This is to be achieved by the Harghita County Council through the promotion and presentation of their works. The primary purpose of the gallery is to promote the Székely region's creators trough exhibitions and quality events. The gallery was designed by András Alpár and Barna Lőrincz.
